Experience this simple yet powerful breathing technique that can quickly release years of stored physical and mental-emotional pain for deep transformation and healing.

Journey on the Breath implements a specific rhythmic breathing pattern, along with distinct sound frequencies, aromatherapy, and creativity to raise yourself into a higher vibrational state. From this state, one can access portholes of varying levels of non-ordinary consciousness.

During this expanded state of consciousness, the innate healing ability of the individual’s psyche becomes activated, bringing with it unique internal experiences for that particular time and place. While recurring themes are common, no two breath work sessions are ever alike.

After our breath work, we will spend time creating artwork such as a personal mandala and/or journaling about the experience. (Colored pencils, pens, and paper will be available for workshop participants to use.) We will also spend time in a sharing circle, integrating and grounding into the body after the practice.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

At the most basic level, we need to learn how to breathe. The amount of air we can bring into the body is directly related to the amount of good we can accept in life. Learn how to breathe freely and openly, and you can begin to sync with the natural flow of life.

On a deeper level, breath work can open up and clear out the subconscious mind. Journeying on the breath can help us to understand and deal with why we may have shut down our breathing to begin with. Traumas, repressed emotions, dysfunctional thinking, old mental tapes, negative beliefs, and past memories, all begin to unravel as we let go of where we hold onto the breath.

At an even deeper level, once the lower subconscious mind begins to expand, higher consciousness can activate. At this stage, we can begin to elevate and access our innate spiritual awareness and higher frequencies of reality. Journeyers may have mystical experiences as they become aware of other dimensions and higher aspects of Self.

Breath work can be used therapeutically for:

WHAT TO EXPECT

We will start our journey with a few relaxing asanas to get us centered and in a calm state of mind, invoking healing energy and higher frequencies to guide and protect us during our journey.

Then we will lie back on the mat, close our eyes, and start to breathe together. We will breathe for approximately 30 minutes, divided into three different time segments of 7 minutes of active breathing with 3 minutes to observe changes and sensations. The music played during each segment will be tuned to specific vibrational frequencies to open up the energy body. Essential oils will be used to cleanse and clear the space during the breath work.

During your personal journey, you may experience a profound sense of calm, floating sensations, contact with higher dimensions, or you may just fall asleep if that is what your spirit needs. Each experience will be unique and will change every time you journey on the breath.

After the active breathing session, we will slowly start to regain awareness and begin our creative process. You may choose to draw a personal mandala or create another type of art that calls to you that day. You may also choose to write about your experience.

After our creative release, those who want to can share with the group what they created and/or give a verbal account of the experience they had during their journey.

Every time we journey on the breath, we become lighter and clearer, and we permanently raise our vibrational frequency.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat and any other props you may need (pillow, eye mask, blanket, etc.) to remain comfortable lying on the floor for about 45 minutes. If you would like to bring your own journal or drawing materials, please feel free. There will be colored pencils, pens and paper available for you to use.
